7 Creative Ways To Decorate With Greenery Like A Pro

It may be the holiday season but greenery is a classic decor option that can instantly spruce up your home any time of year and for inspiration we looked no further than some of our favorite Instagram accounts and designers. These 7 festive ways to use greenery will help you channel your inner creative and have you decorating your home like a pro in no time.

1. Mantles

Mantles are fun to decorate any time of year and greenery like a preserved garland can give any mantle a huge wow factor. Leave it simple during the spring and summer seasons and then add pops of color during the fall with festive pumpkins and woodsy branches or berries during the holidays.

2. Chippy Wood

Have an old door with lots of character you can’t bear to part with? Lean it up against a wall or corner behind a chair and add earthy warmth with greenery like a preserved wreath. Greenery is also a great choice to accent an old window or vintage shutters hanging on a wall.

3. Wall Art

Greenery is a festive way to add charm to wall art. Drape a garland or fresh greenery over a picture to frame it and make it a featured part of your decor.

4. Mirrors

Have an oversized mirror that has been “missing something” but you couldn’t quite put your finger on it? Greenery is a beautiful way to give it an instant designer look.

5. Hutches

Have a hutch or cabinet that displays your favorite collection of milk glass, china or ironstone? Adding greenery to the top of a piece of furniture can help to fill spaces that feel empty and overwhelming. Use pops of greenery inside bowls, on cake stands and vintage scales.

6. Interior Walls & Doors

If you love simple clean decor but still want to add a punch of color and character, greenery can be hung on any interior or cabinet door easily with the use of Command strips. You can also take it a step further and add your favorite ribbon to coordinate with the season. Of course when hanging wreaths near heat sources like stove tops they should be removed before using.

7. Tablescapes

And of course, we couldn’t close out this post without mentioning tablescapes. The table is the heart of a home. Where families eat together, give praise for their blessings, where meaningful conversations happen and memories are made. Greenery is the perfect accent to make any table an inviting space and not just for special dinners or holidays. Every day should be an occasion to remember so use greenery to dress up a table with a favorite tablerunner and candles.
