5 Creative Ways To Add Fall Charm To Your Home

Autumn is in full swing and if you spend any time on Instagram you are definitely feeling the #FallVibes! So much beautiful fall inspiration to help you make your home a cozy and inviting space for you, your family and any guest to make them feel loved and welcomed. We are pulling together some of our best 5 tips, ideas and resources to help you add fall charm to your home whether you are just getting started or looking to make those last few finishing touches.

1. FALL PORCH CHARM

When you think of fall decorating you definitely think about how to spruce up an outdoor space. From adorning a front porch with mums, pumpkins and a cozy blanket for those early mornings enjoying a cup of coffee to adding style and personality to your front door decorating a porch for fall can inspire you to carry that motivation into other areas of your home.

Below are some of our favorite fall porches.

Beth at @homestoriesatoz used our 22″ Real Life Farmhouse wreath to accent her beautiful door and she carried the black and white theme throughout with gorgeous white pumpkins and a buffalo check blanket. When decorating your outdoor space, decide on a theme to help you choose elements that easily complement each other.

Kristi at @thepickledrose had us swooning over this fall inspired She Shed! From the metal birdcage chandelier, to the fern in a vintage metal bucket, to the corn husk columns to our Sunflower Luna wreath adorning the front door. You may not have a She Shed but what inspiration can you take from this space to add charm to your front porch?

Lisa @woodyouboutiques lives in the very warm climate of Florida so don’t let the lack of cool crisp weather keep you from getting in the fall spirit. We love how Lisa pulled together greenery, black and white elements that are so popular this season and 2 of our 22″ Real Farmhouse Buffalo Check wreaths to accent her double doors.

2. FALL MANTLE CHARM

Whether you have a fireplace or faux mantle, decorating this area for fall can give any room a beautiful and charming focal point. Look around and shop your own home for fun pieces you already own. Take inspiration from nature finding bark, acorns, leaves and other elements you can use to fill lanterns, jars and use for accents.

We love how Leanna @clareandgracedesigns used our naturally preserved Sherwood Gardens garland with eucalyptus and silver dollar to softly accent the shelf above her mantle (and in case you are wondering where to find the awesome pumpkin sign, look no further than @harpergracey!)

Natural elements like stalks of eucalyptus in a glass jar or oversized bottle and wheat in a pitcher or wheat stacks like the ones showcased here by Kelly @citygirlmeetsfarmboy can add simple charm and accents to a shelf or mantle.

3. FALL TABLE CHARM

Sitting at a table is one of the most important places for human and family connection. We often find ourselves fully alive to life when sharing a meal with family and friends. When decorating this fall look for the beauty outside you can bring inside like acorns to fill the bottom of a glass candle holder, apples and pumpkins to accent and oversized leaves to place under candlesticks.

Make the time around your table a happy joyful time. A time for conversation and connection at the end of every day. Use the good dishes, break out the good linens just because. Time around your table will be where precious memories are made to last a lifetime.

This beautiful tablescape by Whitney @farmsteadonfirst reminds us how warm and inviting natural elements can bring to a table. Our Raspberry Fizz garland is the perfect signature piece made with preserved eucalyptus, silver dollar leaves and pink flax pods to add charming beauty to any tablescape and transition from one season to another.

When decorating a table have fun with the process. Experiment and try different elements to create the look that honors and conveys your unique style and personality. We love have Devanie @devanie.at.home paired our Preserved Jack Knife & Spiral eucalyptus garland with funky wooden beads, pumpkins and striped table runner.

4. FALL WINDOW CHARM

When it comes to decorating the inside of your home, don’t overlook how you can use windows to feature a wreath, garland or banner.

Hope @signsofhope.ar always makes us happy when we see this wooden star her husband made for her that hangs in her dining room window. She uses it as a fun focal point in this space by itself and paired with other decor accents like our 22″ Boho Farmhouse wreath.

Maybe there is an area you spend a lot of time in like a reading nook or your kitchen that adding themed fall accents can bring joy to. Jenna @jennaratliffdesigns definitely brought the beauty of nature indoors with our golden 16″ Buffalo Check Amber Forest wreath designed with preserved maple leaves, clusters of flax, acorns and pine cones. The matching pups, of course, bring their own cute vibes!

5. FALL WALL CHARM

There is no better way to give your home some autumn warmth than to use the wall space in your home. Maybe you have a mirror that needs a pop of color, wooden arches or a picture that you can get creative with. Command hooks make this kind of decorating a breeze.

Emily @bluelinencottage has the most adorable She Shed that should grace the cover of The Cottage Journal magazine. We love how she paired three unmatching mirrors together and added our fall Majesty Wreath.

If you spend any time on Pinterest you have probably seen how popular Tobacco baskets are right now. You can find real vintage ones in antique stores depending on your budget or you can opt for a more affordable version from stores like Hobby Lobby. Either way they are a fun element to add to any space. We love how Donna @gramsfarmhouse used a Tobacco basket above her bed and paired it with our buffalo check Real Life Farmhouse wreath.

An oversized mirror can provide the perfect backdrop for your fall decor like this one in Hope’s home @signsofhope.ar. She used our Heartland Harvest wreath to provide a touch of warmth and texture to this space.

Wall accents like shutters, wooden arches and picture frames that are already hanging in your home can be great pieces to add seasonal pieces to like our Boho Farmhouse wreath used here by Liz @farm_decor_mama.

Bonus Tip: Fall Furniture Charm

Don’t overlook the furniture in your home. They too make great pieces to add fall accents like this gorgeous shabby chic wardrobe belonging to Emily @bluelinencottage where she used our Harvest Moon wreath.

We hope these tips have inspired you to look around your home to see where you can add charming touches to celebrate the fall season. We hope you will focus less on perfection, design rules and comparing yourself or home to what you see on social media, instead focusing on what brings you joy on a daily basis while honoring your personal style. So approach designing your home as a happy and creative process.
